The Practice continues to grow with an expanding client base and workload, and we have the following vacancies for permanent positions in our Swaffham Bulbeck office just outside of Cambridge.

The Practice primarily deals with structural and civil engineering new build and alteration projects ranging in value up to £10 million, working with domestic, housing, retail, industrial, educational, commercial, research and pharmaceutical sectors as well as being involved with conservation work to churches, historical houses, both private and publicly owned, and the University of Cambridge.

We are looking to recruit confident and ambitious people who wish to develop their career with us through our professional training schemes and progress to more senior positions in the company.

Graduate Civil Engineer (Permanent position, posted 17.03.22)

  • MSc, or equivalent degree acceptable to Engineering Council for CEng registration
  • 2-4 years’ experience with drainage and highways work, assisting in the preparation of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, discharging planning conditions, schemes for section 278, 38, 104 and 106 applications and construction stage designs
  • Experience of Autocad and micro drainage essential, experience of Civils 3D and tracking software advantageous
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Car owner with UK driving licence

We operate an in house mentoring scheme preparing candidates toward achieving CEng MICE status with the Institution of Civil Engineers.

AutoCAD Draughtsman (Permanent position, posted 17.03.22)

  • BTEC level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • 6-8 years’ experience producing general arrangement plans reinforcement drawings and detail drawings for structural and civil engineering projects, working under the guidance of a project engineer
  • Experience of 2D AutoCAD essential, Revit experience advantageous
  • Car owner with UK driving licence
